Katja Knaus

Yonder, Stuttgart | https://www.studioyonder.de

By exploring space, material, construction and their interplay, Yonder creates living spaces that not only shape our perception of space, but also social interaction. For ARCHITECT@WORK, Katja Knaus scrutinises current demands on building based on selected projects from her own work.

14:00

Sebastian Bildau

OS A Ochs Schmidhuber Architekten, München | https://osa-muenchen.de

The lecture deals with social and sustainable urban redevelopment. Inner-city locations are being increasingly redensified and diversified. Several case studies of different sizes and urban situations show practical implementations. In particular, the focus will be on the use of renewable raw materials, especially wood.

Florian Nagler Architekten, München | https://www.nagler-architekten.de

The aim of our new research project "simply (re)build" is to show that we can refurbish existing buildings in a much less complex and sensible way - in terms of energy consumption and ecological balance - than is currently practised and promoted, and that we do not have to encase the whole of Germany in polystyrene, but can preserve our valuable architectural heritage.
